Rod Alexander Inclusive Supports Accessibility Statement

General
We believe every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence. That belief shaped how this website was built. We want everyone to be able to read, use and get in touch through www.inclusivesupportsvic.com.au, whatever device or assistive technology you use.
How this website is built
This site was built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Before launch, every page was checked at phone, tablet and desktop sizes with automated tests and a written WCAG 2.1 AA audit was completed. In practice, that means:
- Text has strong colour contrast against its background, so it is easier to read.
- You can use the whole site with a keyboard alone. A visible outline shows where you are and a "Skip to main content" link sits at the top of every page. Menus open with the keyboard and close with the Escape key.
- Headings run in a logical order, every page has its own title and the page language is set to Australian English, so screen readers read the site as intended.
- Photos carry descriptive alternative text and purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Every form field has a visible label, required fields are marked and forms can be completed by keyboard.
- The layout adjusts to any screen from a small phone to a large monitor without sideways scrolling and text can be enlarged to 200 per cent.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap comfortably on a touch screen.
- Moving effects switch off when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Links to other websites open in a new tab, so you can come back to us.
The accessibility menu
The UserWay accessibility widget is on every page. Click the accessibility icon in the corner of the page and give the menu a moment to load. From there you can change text size and spacing, adjust contrast, enlarge the cursor, pause animations and turn on a screen reader.
Getting in touch another way
If anything on this site is hard to use, call us on 0478 893 377 or email info@inclusivesupportsvic.com.au and we will help. You are also welcome to tell us about an accessibility problem through our Feedback form. Your name, phone and email are optional, so you can stay anonymous if you prefer. Our Easy Read Feedback page uses faces and pictures to make giving feedback simpler.
Ongoing improvement
We review this site and fix the issues people tell us about. Some content, such as the websites we link to, is run by other organisations and sits outside our control.
